Then I loosen all lugs and bring them back up to finger tight. The edge doesn't matter. Drum-Dial vs. Plus its always fun to try any drum related toys and gear. I'd rather just use the box I bought it with for the time being.

In general, what would you all recommend: the Tune-Bot or the new digital version of the Drum-Dial? I've used the old model of the Drum-Dial. I bought a drum dial once. I owned it less than 3 hours before I took it back and got my money back. I picked up a Tune-Bot yesterday. After one.

Personally It took me YEARS to learn how to tune drums. I just had such a hard time. I bought a Tunebot, a Drumdial, and still sucked.

I recently bought a tune Bot Gig. Take guitar strings for example - equal tension across the strings are not going to mean that they are going to be pitched the same. Fundamentally it's just a tuner with filters so that it focuses on a specific pitch without dealing with overtones that would otherwise screw it up.

I have a friend who has tunebot. The next product we have here is made by Tune-Bot, and it is a very smart drum- tuning invention.

Unlike the analogue DrumDial, this product is an electronic. That Tama looks similar to a DrumDial. I have heard some guys saying the the original TuneBot is better as they got rid of some features.
The tunebot app is neat because you can set it to tune to 3rds, 5ths, or specific notes too.

For some reason my drums sound pretty good to me, and others have said so too, but I think the tune bot will be a great asset. Some products discussed here may not be available outside the USA.

I'm going to order a tune bot. My snare was cranked super tight and was very loud but sounded like a gunshot and or something along those lines.
I like my drum dial personally, not that you need to go digital, just stick with what you're using. I've always done it by ear and been happy, but I recently ordered the new Tune Bot Gig.
That's like hiring a maid each time you want your son's room clean.
I never tried the Tunebot myself. Search forums. I wouldn't just rely on any tool to tune a drum because there are so many variables. I think these tools for getting me in the ball park but I used them for learning and teaching my ear.
